I can’t believe that my first baby is 7! Barrett is so much fun to have in our family. We love him so much. He asked me the other day why I love him so much and I could go on forever. A few of the things I love most about Barrett are: his kind heart, his great laugh, he’s funny, he’s got so much faith, he’s a great big brother, he’s so smart, he’s taught me so much, and he’s made me a better person! We love you Barrett, hope your birthday was everything you wanted it to be!!!

You know you love your kids when you make a cake like this. I do have to say the hours of making it were worth it when I saw how excited the boys were.
The other night the boys were yelling for me to come see something, and this is what I saw out the back window. It was much more beautiful in real life!
Austin has been having a hard time with Barrett gone at school all day. So I decided to take him to the zoo to have some fun!
I don’t think either of us had seen a gorilla so close.
And Austin started soccer, he loves it!
Barrett has been so excited to start 1st grade.
I was relieved when he came out still smiling. He loves first grade. He especially loves school lunch, he tells me it’s the best food he’s ever had !(does that say something about my cooking?
I even did really good dropping him off. I wasn’t very emotional and I love having the school so close. It wasn’t till I heard all the kids out at recess that I started to tear up a little realizing that my little guy is in all day school from now probably till he moves out.
I totally forgot to get any pictures of the Provo Canyon Half marathon until we were almost home. It was a great race. I had bronchitis, so it didn’t feel very good, but I still got 1:34

Hobble Creek Half Marathon was so great, I loved the race and got my best time yet, 1:29!!!!
Stephan’s mom took the boys for a couple of days so I used the opportunity to have some one on one time with Siena. We went to the Garden and Thanksgiving Point. She loved it!!
Siena is such a funny girl. The other day she was came up to me with a packet of Easy Mac and kept saying, “chesse.” She was so happy that she had successfully communicated her message, she sure does know what she wants!
Siena loves to write on everything. I have to be so careful to put all writing utensils out of her reach. Unfortunately the boys haven’t been as careful so I’ve spent a lot of time scrubbing walls and couches.
She is such a happy little girl!!

Every year my dad’s side of the family goes up for a camping trip to Payson Lake. We were only go for one day, but we had so much fun!
So tonight while I was helping Barrett brush his teeth I noticed that the tooth that was loose had the permanent tooth coming in behind it. We have a dentist appointment on Thursday and I knew that if that tooth was as loose as it was the dentist would just pull it and Barrett wouldn’t be happy about that so I took it on myself to pull it for him.
As you can see Barrett was not too happy at first, he said it really hurt.

He was happy a few minutes later when he realized that the Tooth Fairy was coming.
He really wanted a picture of the hole in his mouth.
So when I was tucking him in bed I started crying realizing how fast my baby boy is growing up. I can’t believe he’s going to be seven. I love watching my kids grow up, but I sometimes wish time would slow down. Barrett felt bad I was crying so I tried to explain all this to him, but I don’t think he got it. Ha Ha. I guess it takes having kids of your own to get it.
I started the morning off with the Annual Liberty fun run 5k. I took second again this year, but I’m ok with it because I got my personal best time, 20:25
We then went to the parade
